DavideBorn, in 1971, in Busto Arsizio (Varese), ITALY.
When he was 14 years old he started study the guitar.
He performed with different groups in various clubs, playing rock and blues.
Afterwards, he became passionate for acoustic guitar music and began to focus on different styles: fingerpicking, flatpicking, alternative tune methods and so on...
In the late 80’s he began to teach, perform and record.
In 1992 he decided to move to Bologna to study music in depth and in 1998 he obtained the Degree at the D.A.M.S. (Disciplines of Arts, Music and Show) in Bologna, ITALY, with a thesis on the “Pedagogic Reasons and Aspects of Popular Music using in School”.
In 1999 he became musical consultant for "Mediaset Television Group", the biggest private TV company in Italy and Europe, sited in Milan.
He continued his studies in Master Classes and Workshops concerning Musictherapy, Musical Consulting Operating and Arrangements. In the following years he also extensively studied Afroamerican Music.
The experience built during those years let him achieve a remarkable versatility and a solid knowledge in different music genres and guitar styles.
He performed with some of the most important fingerstyle representatives, such as Tommy Emmanuel, Stephen Bennett, Carl Verheyen, Jim Nichols, Beppe Gambetta, Thom Bresh, Buster B. Jones, Frank Vignola, and others.
Since the year 2000 he has performed in a Duo with singer Anita Camarella.
In 2002, the Duo recorded an album titled Quei motivetti che ci piaccion tanto!, an homage to the ‘Italian Swing’ of years ‘30s and ‘40s.
Radio Stations of United States, Argentina, Brazil, Portugal, Hungary, France, Tunisia and Italy have broadcasted their music. And with Anita Camarella he has toured extensively in Italy, in Europe and in the United States.Davide
In 2003 Davide recorded his first solo album, titled Juley, which collects all his own compositions for acoustic guitar; and in 2007 he recorded Spaghetti alla Chitarra dedicated to great Italian melodies.
Both of these CDs have been realized in collaboration with Raf Montrasio, (guitarist of the well appreciated Renato Carosone’s sextet in the ‘50s).
In 2009 he has written his first book, titled Italian Fingerstyle Collection, with arrangements for guitar solo dedicated to some of the most beautiful Italian melodies.
He regularly teaches in different schools of music and he is workshop supervisor about different Guitar Styles and for “Contemporary Popular Music Guide and Listening”.
